  • The Ancient Greeks

    A fun and engaging class where you will delve into the depths of the Ancient Greeks through the use of videos, website, artefacts and more.

    As always, this block will include lots of interactive elements within the lessons, including Kahoot quizzes, videos and crafts- making our own Greek vase. We'll also be having a go at an Ancient Greek recipe!

    Resources Needed:

    The Greek vase will be made using a blue, newspaper, glue. The recipe will include honey, wheatflour, milk and olive oil. (You can use dairy free milk or gluten free flour if required).

  • Course Objectives:

    In this class, we'll be getting creative whilst learning all about a fascinating period of world history: The Ancient Greeks!

    Learn all about the daily lives of these amazing people, how they spent their leisure time, the Gods they believed in and how they invented the Olympic Games.

    We'll also be enjoying some Greek-themed arts and crafts and be having a go at a simple Greek recipe.

    You will learn about where the Greek civilization sits chronologically amongst other key periods of world history; about the rival city states of Athens and Sparta; about the famous myths and legends from this period.

Primary History Tutor

Hi! I’m Sarah and I teach Primary History on The Hub and am currently working on a new exciting recording ready for after Christmas. I’m a mum of two young boys and have been a primary teacher for 15 years (how time flies!) After spending the last 10 years teaching Year 6 in a junior school I now work mainly with young people and adults with a variety of different educational needs, either 1-to-1 or delivering group workshops. I’m loving this new challenge in addition to my work at The Hub! Above all, my aim is to work creatively to make lessons fun and engaging- I think we all learn more that way!

  • How do I access the live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
