Content

  • Ancient Rome Part 1

    A fun and engaging class where you will delve into the depths of Ancient Rome through the use of videos, website, artefacts and more.

    As always, this block will include lots of interactive elements within the lessons, including Kahoot quizzes, live recipes and crafts.

  • Course Objectives:

    This will be the first of 2 Roman blocks.

    This block will focus on the civilization of Ancient Rome, before 'Part 2' in November which will look at Roman Britain.

    In this block we will learn about the location and cities of Ancient Rome, including famous landmarks, famous Ancient Roman leaders, daily life in Ancient Rome, religion and beliefs, and leisure activities.

    This will include learning about gladiators and building your own Colosseum!

    Specialist Resources Needed:

    Thick card board and glue gun to build your colosseum. Ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese), flour, egg and honey to make your Roman bread.

Primary History Tutor

Hi! I’m Sarah and I teach Primary History on The Hub and am currently working on a new exciting recording ready for after Christmas.
I’m a mum of two young boys and have been a primary teacher for 15 years (how time flies!) After spending the last 10 years teaching Year 6 in a junior school I now work mainly with young people and adults with a variety of different educational needs, either 1-to-1 or delivering group workshops. I’m loving this new challenge in addition to my work at The Hub!
Above all, my aim is to work creatively to make lessons fun and engaging- I think we all learn more that way!

  • How do I access the live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
