  • Description: The brain & analysing data in research. Did you know there are around 100 billion nerve cells that enable our bran and body to communicate? In this block we explore what nerve cells are, how they work, how the nervous systems helps us in times of danger and what research suggests about neurons and learning. We will also include some work on different ways to analyse trends and patterns in research data. L/O: To explain the structure and function of neurons and the nervous system To explain the process of synaptic transmission. To describe and evaluate the James-Lange theory or emotion. To describe and evaluate Hebb´s theory of learning. To understand how to calculate mean, median, mode and range.
