  • Description: Designing simple computer games. Are your young coding engineers interested in designing their own computer games? Over these 4 engaging sessions, students will learn how to create their own sprites, while exploring the concept of costumes and how they contribute to sprite animation. They will then learn how to use coding in their sprites to respond to user inputs and interactions. We'll also delve into customised backdrop design, background music, essential game logic concepts such as scoring, winning conditions and game over scenarios. Each week, there will be challenges that reinforce skills acquired during the session. Hannah's Scratch coding sessions foster creativity, problem-solving and collaboration as students design, troubleshoot and showcase their unique creations. With a focus on practical skills, this course empowers young minds to transform coding concepts into imaginative, playable games, providing a dynamic and enjoyable introduction to the exciting world of computer programming and game design.
