What methods have sociologists used to research crime & deviance in society? Is prison the most effective form of punishment? These are some of the questions we will explore in our second block on crime and deviance. L/O: To explain and evaluate the relationships between class, gender, age, ethnicity and crime. To explain the process of deviancy amplification in the media. To evaluate research into crime and deviance. To explore issues causing public concern such as the effectiveness of prisons.
