  • Women in the Spotlight

    This inspiring block explores how female artists like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Billie Eilish have shaped their careers, built their image and connected with fans around the world.

    Students will learn how music, media and performance all work together to tell a story and how different artists have handled being in the public eye. They’ll compare artist journeys, reflect on media headlines and explore how fans support and celebrate the artists they love.

    This block is perfect for any young Swiftie who enjoys pop culture and wants to look behind the scenes. This block ends with a creative project: students will design a short tribute, speech or visual presentation celebrating a female artist of their choice.

  • Course Objectives:

    Understand how fame and gender can influence how artists are portrayed in the media.

    Compare how different female artists present themselves and are received by the public.

    Explore how artists respond to public criticism and reinvent their image through music and style.

    Reflect on how fan communities support and connect with female artists.

    Create a short tribute, speech, or presentation that celebrates a chosen female artist and their impact.

Hi everyone! I’m Amy and I’ve been a private tutor since 2020. I previously worked as a teacher where I taught in almost every year you can think of! I’ve worked in mainstream, independent and special schools. I’m passionate about every child being able to access an education that is right for them and I’m excited to be a part of that! During my time as a teacher, I worked with students with very high anxiety and as a result I’m an empathetic tutor and always aim for students to feel safe and secure in my lessons first and foremost. I also like to produce fun and engaging lessons that focus on topics that students are actually interested in! I love travelling, reading and spending time at home with my baby, husband and dog! I also run my own greeting card company and have sold over 50,000 designs! I am so excited to be joining the hub and to meet you all. I am a huge advocate for home education and I love what the £2 hub stands for! I hope to see in my lessons soon!

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
