  • Theme

    This block will continue to build on knowledge from previous blocks, but new students are still very welcome

    Step into the world of theatre and discover what really makes drama come alive!

    In this dynamic and creative block, you’ll explore how different theatre practitioners have shaped the way we perform, design, and experience stories on stage.

    We will be starting the new academic year with a next play to study using it to experiment with styles, techniques, and performance ideas inspired by these practitioners.

    Along the way, you’ll strengthen your understanding of key drama terminology, explore historical and social contexts, and gain the confidence to analyse, discuss, and bring your own theatrical ideas to life.

    📚 Although this class isn’t a GCSE subject, it will align with the skills and theoretical knowledge you need for GCSE Drama - helping you feel more prepared, confident, and inspired than ever!

  • Course Objectives:

    Develop an understanding of dramatic texts and performances.

    Appreciate the interplay between script, performance, and production elements.

    Cultivate analytical skills that enable them to critically engage with drama.

    Enhance their ability to communicate insights and interpretations effectively.

    Build a strong foundation for further studies in drama and related fields.

    Understand the different roles and responsibilities of theatre makers.

    Understand drama and theatre terminology and how to use it appropriately.

Hi, I’m Rosie, the Performing Arts teacher.
I’m a mum of one and I own a Theatre School here where I live in leafy Somerset. I am also a one to one singing teacher and registered to teach in preparation for Musical Theatre LAMDA examination.
I spent most of my childhood singing, dancing and acting, going on to study Performing Arts at college and complete a BA Hons in Musical Theatre. After finishing my degree I signed a record contract, and briefly toured as part of a girl band, released 2 singles and performed on a West End stage (‘The Lyric Theatre’ if you are interested) Whilst I no longer perform, I get so much joy from teaching everything I’ve learnt to students in real life at our theatre school and virtually here on the hub.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
