Content

  • Traditional Japanese Karate

    No previous blocks necessary

    Welcome to my dojo - the space where I do my own training and now the home of the "Hub Ninjas" where I'll be teaching these classes!

    The lessons will cover the basic blocks, hand techniques and foot techniques of karate. The techniques will be in both Japanese and English and build on each other during successive weeks, from basic single techniques to combination of techniques.

    You will need space to move at least three steps forward, two to the left and two to the right. This should be a non-slippery surface. Wear loose and comfortable clothing and feet should be bare.

    Each session will begin with gentle warm up, stretching and balancing. Sessions are suitable for all ages (over 5) and all abilities.

  • Course Objectives:

    To learn and improve basic techniques and combinations in karate.

Hi, I’m Tony and I’m a retired secondary school teacher and former Royal Navy aircraft engineer. I’ve been training in karate for over thirty years and the style I do is Shotokan, which is a Japanese style. I have been a black belt for twenty seven years and I have trained with many of Japan’s top instructors. I have my own dojo in my garden in Somerset and I’m looking forward to welcoming you to karate lessons there.

  • How do I access the live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.

  • How do I contact support?
