Content

  • PLEASE NOTE: This annual plan will be for 4 blocks and will finish at Easter. There will then be an extra shorter block for revision which is not included in this annual plan because the exams are normally early and Cambridge don't release the dates until November.

  • During Block 7 (September) we will be looking at:- 5 – Destination marketing. This is the last knowledge section of the syllabus. 5.1 Importance of marketing to travel and tourism organisations: • Increased sales/usage/profitability/market share/customer base • Competitive advantage • Positive image and reputation for sustainable practices • Customer satisfaction/brand loyalty/repeat business. 5.2 Factors affecting marketing: • Target market • Appropriate timing • Consideration of costs • Use of brand image • Reputation, e.g. from industry awards • Monitoring methods

Geography, Environmental, Tourism IGCSE Tutor

Hi, My name is Kim Haddock and I have been teaching for many years. My specialism is Geography KS3, GCSE and A level. Over the last few years after retiring from full time classroom teaching, like many of us I have adjusted to teaching part time online. I have spent a lot of time travelling overseas as well as teaching overseas, so I feel I have a good understanding of international curricula. I also try where possible to use my own experiences to enrich lessons where appropriate with relevant photos or personal anecdotes.
