Content

  • Recommended age 10+ **CONTENT WARNING: These lessons teach about real life cases seen in GP & emergency small animal veterinary practices. There may be content containing information / images / videos about; anatomy (including male & female anatomy), dissection, surgery, blood, wounds, infections, parasites, vaccinations, needles & syringes, drugs, animals that are poorly / may seem distressed, outcomes that may include the animal dying or being euthanased. If you do not want your child exposed to this or feel your child may be upset by this content, then please do not purchase the lessons. Please also be aware, I DO NOT encourage children to practice any examination skills on animals / pets as they can be easily scared at being handled a diVerent way at home, and I wouldn’t want your child(ren) to get bitten or scratched. They can easily practice most examination skills on themselves, a human volunteer or a teddy, and I will describe how to do this in my lessons. **

Veterinary Detectives Tutor

Hi, I’m Katy, I teach the Veterinary Detectives lessons. I'm a mum and home educate my 9 year old son. I am a qualified veterinary surgeon with 13 years experience in small animal clinical practice, and over 25 years of working with animals. I love to inspire kids with all the cool science and medical knowledge I can gather! Animals are amazing! During my time off I enjoy being in nature and especially love the beach on a cold winters day! My hobbies include crafting, baking, walking and yoga.

What parents say:

“I can’t thank you enough for starting this group Amy. You gave me back my happy (not so little anymore) boy. Thanks to this group he’s realised he’s not the stupid, naughty kid that school made him believe he was. His sister is on school holidays and he’s doing recorded lessons by choice. Xxxx ”

Karen, Parent

“this group is without doubt an absolute blessing. Fantastic classes with amazing teachers at an extremely reasonable price. I for one am so thankful to you and your team for everything you all do. We appreciate the hub so much and are very grateful xx ”

Claire, Parent

“Our family are full time travellers and the hub is a life line for us. The children get to see and speak to adults who show a real interest in their learning and their lives. They get to pick lessons that they are interested in and have fun learning something new. The social hub was a real life line for us too. My 3 have made friends and love getting to chat to children and adults daily too. ”

Donna, Parent

“£2 tuition hub was the best resource I found my entire time home educating. I’m still currently using the £2 Hub 3 years later”

Maxine, Parent

“Fantastic group has helped us through 3+ years of home ed, wish we knew of you before that when we first started ”

Sharon, Parent

“We have been taking part in the BSL lessons and the other day had great fun finger spelling while shopping. Two of my children have dyslexia with T being more severe, he hates and refuses spellings. Along comes BSL and he’s loving spellings!” ”
