  • Adventure Writing!

    Get ready to set off on an exciting five week adventure where imagination takes the lead and every child becomes an author, explorer, and storyteller!

    In this dynamic Summer Term English journey, children will dive into the world of thrilling adventures, discovering mysterious settings, creating bold characters, and crafting their very own stories.

    From jungle expeditions to treasure hunts, each week builds new skills while keeping creativity at the heart of learning.

    We will play Kahoot and Bingo to practise our new skills and test our knowledge!

  • Course Objectives:

    Understand what they read by:

    Answering questions (who, what, where, why).

    Making simple predictions.

    Discussing characters, settings, and events.

    Writing - Composition.

    Write for different purposes:

    Stories (adventure narratives)
    Instructions (non-fiction)

    Plan and sequence ideas clearly (beginning, middle, end).

    Use descriptive language to engage the reader.

    Re-read and improve their own writing.

    Use expanded noun phrases (e.g. the dark, spooky cave).

    Conjunctions (and, but, because, so).

    Verbs and simple adverbs.

    Specialist Resources Needed:

    An extra device to play Kahoot.

Hi I’m Hannah and I’m 39 years old! I taught in a Primary School for 11 years. I left teaching when I had my children and joined The £2 Tuition Hub which is amazing as it’s allowed me to be at home with them! I have been married to Alex for 11 years and we have a 7 year old daughter called Martha and a 5 year old son called Ezra. I love going on holidays with my family, socialising with friends and going to the cinema!

  • How do I access the live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
