Content

  • Narrative writing and descriptive language

    Over five exciting weeks, you will become a true explorer and storyteller. First, we will listen for the loud chug-chug of the Polar Express train and write spectacular descriptions of the giant steam engine arriving in the snow. Then, you will jump inside the carriage to taste the sweet hot chocolate and write a sensory recount of the cozy journey. Next, we will travel to the top of the world to write a thrilling diary entry about arriving at the North Pole, followed by a special letter to Santa to help find a lost silver bell! Finally, you will use your amazing imagination to invent your very own magical journey. Pack your bags, put on your favorite pyjamas, and get ready to write your own winter masterpiece! Alongside this we will play some exciting Kahoot and bingo games!

  • Course Objectives:

    To use verbs and adverbs to describe movement and sound.
    To use the conjunction ‘because’ to give a reason.
    To use question marks and speech marks in a conversation.
    To plan and write a descriptive paragraph about a setting.
    To use expanded noun phrases to describe a setting.

    Specialist Resources Needed:

    Pencil, paper and an extra device for Kahoot.

Hi I’m Hannah and I’m 39 years old! I taught in a Primary School for 11 years. I left teaching when I had my children and joined The £2 Tuition Hub which is amazing as it’s allowed me to be at home with them!
I have been married to Alex for 11 years and we have a 7 year old daughter called Martha and a 5 year old son called Ezra. I love going on holidays with my family, socialising with friends and going to the cinema!

  • How do I access the live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
