Content

  • Money

    In these five fun online lessons, you will become a money expert! You will learn all about coins and pounds and how we use them in real life.

    First, you will learn to recognise different coins and say their names. Then you will practise counting money, adding coins together, and finding out how much things cost. You will even get to run your own shop, pay for items, and work out the change!

    You will play games (including Kahoot quizzes and Bingo!), solve puzzles and use pictures on the screen. You can talk about your ideas, draw your answers, and show how you worked them out.

    By the end of the lessons, you will feel confident, clever, and ready to use money in everyday life. Most of all, you’ll see that maths can be fun!

  • Course Objectives:

    To use money confidently to solve real-life problems.

    Identify and name coins (1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1, £2).

    Know the value of each coin.

    Count amounts of money using the same coins.

    Count in 2s, 5s, and 10s to find totals.

    Count money using different coins.

    Add coin values by starting with the largest coin.

    Make amounts using coins.

    Find change from 10p or 20p.

    Solve simple money word problems.

    Compare costs and explain answers using money vocabulary.

Hi I’m Hannah and I’m 39 years old! I taught in a Primary School for 11 years. I left teaching when I had my children and joined The £2 Tuition Hub which is amazing as it’s allowed me to be at home with them! I have been married to Alex for 11 years and we have a 7 year old daughter called Martha and a 5 year old son called Ezra. I love going on holidays with my family, socialising with friends and going to the cinema!

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
