  • Description: Poetry. In this block we’ll be diving into the world of poetry! From limericks to free verse, each week will focus on a different style from the work of famous poets. We’ll be getting creative and producing our own poems using lots of tips and tricks that will be explored throughout the block. Children will develop their confidence and enthusiasm for writing through a fun and creative approach that will ensure they always have a starting point and support along the way! Throughout this block, children will experiment with word choice, extend their knowledge of spellings, punctuation and grammar and explore the use of a range of literary devices to create different effects.
