  • Where the Wild Things Are

    Calling all Year 3/4 Writing Whizzpoppers.

    In this block, we are heading to where the wild things are. Mythical and fantastical creatures await us.

    Will you fly a magnificent dragon through the clouds or run in the Forbidden Forest with the unicorns? Join me and let the wild rumpus start!

  • Course Objectives:

    Extend the range of sentences by using a wider range of conjunctions

    Choose nouns or pronouns appropriately for clarity and cohesion

    Use fronted adverbials to express time and cause

    Use expanded noun phrases, similes and metaphors

    Use and punctuate speech

    Use the past, present and future tense

Year 3/4 Maths and English Tutor

Hi, I'm Jan! I am so excited to be part of the Hub, and I can't wait to share my passion for learning with you all.
I have been teaching for 20 years, spending 5 of those as a head teacher. However, my heart has always been with teaching, and so I left the office to spend my days as a supply teacher, and I couldn't be happier! I am back where I belong doing what I love.
I live in Yeovil with my husband and three crazy cats. I have two grown-up sons and two wonderful daughters in law. I am a Potterhead who loves to read, build lego, draw, and collect shells. I can't wait for our learning adventures together.

  • How do I access the live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
