  • Number and Place Value

    Calling all year 3/4 math magicians. Place Value is the foundation of all maths and together we will ensure it is strong!

    Come and join me as we travel through the this vital area of maths and strengthen and improve your understanding and knowledge.

  • Course Objectives:

    Recognise the place value of each digit in a 3 and 4 digit number.

    Find 10, 100 or 1000 more or less than a given number.

    Compare and order numbers up to 10, 000

    Identify represent and estimate numbers

    Solve problems involving place value

Year 3/4 Maths and English Tutor

Hi, I'm Jan! I am so excited to be part of the Hub, and I can't wait to share my passion for learning with you all.
I have been teaching for 20 years, spending 5 of those as a head teacher. However, my heart has always been with teaching, and so I left the office to spend my days as a supply teacher, and I couldn't be happier! I am back where I belong doing what I love.
I live in Yeovil with my husband and three crazy cats. I have two grown-up sons and two wonderful daughters in law. I am a Potterhead who loves to read, build lego, draw, and collect shells. I can't wait for our learning adventures together.

  • How do I access the live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
