  • Statistics

    There will be links to place value, addition and subtraction and multiplication and division

    Calling all maths magicians! Its all about statistics in Block 6!

    Statistics is a branch of mathematics that involves gathering information, summarizing it, and deciding what it means. The numbers that result from this work are also called statistics.

    They can help to predict things such as the weather or how our favourite sports teams will perform.

  • Course Objectives:

    Interpret and present data: Use bar charts, pictograms, and tables to represent discrete and continuous data.

    Solve problems: Use scaled bar charts and pictograms to solve one-step and two-step problems, such as 'how many more?' or 'how many fewer?'.

    Data Handling: Sort, classify, and record data accurately using tally charts and simple tables.

    Reading and understanding scales on graphs.

    Identifying trends and drawing conclusions from data.

Hi, I'm Jan! I am so excited to be part of the Hub, and I can't wait to share my passion for learning with you all. I have been teaching for 20 years, spending 5 of those as a head teacher. However, my heart has always been with teaching, and so I left the office to spend my days as a supply teacher, and I couldn't be happier! I am back where I belong doing what I love. I live in Yeovil with my husband and three crazy cats. I have two grown-up sons and two wonderful daughters in law. I am a Potterhead who loves to read, build lego, draw, and collect shells. I can't wait for our learning adventures together.

  • How do I access the live sessions?

    You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom, containing details of your live registration.

    You will also have a reminder one hour before the start of each class.

    The live session can be accessed from the 'Join Webinar' button in these emails.

  • I've missed a session, can I have the recording?

    All recordings are uploaded within 24 hours to here - your dashboard - so you can watch whenever is convenient.
