Content

  • In the September block we will be looking at:- Number Ninjas. Join me in our 1st maths block of the new academic year concentrating on NUMBERS and the number system. We will be increasing our confidence when reading, writing ordering and comparing numbers up to 10,000,000 and determining the value of each digit accurately. We will be using and applying numbers in context – rounding, negatives and measurements. Extend and apply understanding of the number system to reason and problem solves.

  • L/O: To use the whole number system, including saying, reading and writing numbers up to 10,000,000 accurately. To round any whole number to a required degree of accuracy To use negative numbers in context, and calculate intervals across zero To use and apply number knowledge when reasoning and problem solving.

Hiya everyone, I’m Stacey. I’m a primary school teacher from Nottinghamshire. Currently I teach year 6 and have done for the last 6 years as once you’re in they don’t tend to let you out. 😂 I have also taught in years 3 and 5. The best part about my job is watching those lightbulb moments where children just get it! I love watching them grow in confidence from the beginning to the end of a lesson! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and taking my Spanish rescue dog , Lila, on long treks through the woods! We’ve found many deer but never any bears on our hunts!
