    ⭐ This unit compliments another AQA block - Mathematics: Planning a Holiday! 😊

    Become a Holiday Home Advertising Expert in this fun, engaging learning show linked with the AQA unit designed for Entry Level learners.

    Across five exciting sessions, children will work independently and build collaborative notes and ideas, explore real-life adverts, and learn how to compare, analyse and improve writing using powerful persuasive language.

    We will discover how to use eye-catching headings, exciting adjectives and convincing verbs to bring ideas to life.

    From transforming “boring” descriptions into irresistible holiday escapes to designing and pitching their own dream holiday home, this unit builds confidence and creativity.

    By the end, learners will proudly create their own professional-style holiday home advert - developing writing skills and having fun along the way!

  • Course Objectives

    Learners will:

    Work independently and collaboratively to explore and discuss holiday home adverts

    Identify the key features of non-fiction adverts

    Compare holiday home adverts considering own preferences

    Recognise persuasive language, including powerful adjectives and verbs

    Understand how headings and subheadings organise information

    Improve simple sentences using more engaging vocabulary

    Plan a holiday home advert for a specific audience: using models of writing as inspiration for their own

    Use persuasive language to describe features and location

    Write a holiday home advert suitable for purpose and audience applying taught features

    Edit and improve their work

Hiya everyone, I’m Stacey. I’m a primary school teacher from Nottinghamshire. Currently I teach year 6 and have done for the last 6 years as once you’re in they don’t tend to let you out. 😂 I have also taught in years 3 and 5. The best part about my job is watching those lightbulb moments where children just get it! I love watching them grow in confidence from the beginning to the end of a lesson! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and taking my Spanish rescue dog , Lila, on long treks through the woods! We’ve found many deer but never any bears on our hunts!
