Please note this is a 4-week block. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A chance for children to immerse themselves in the art of origami with a seaside-inspired theme while developing their fine motor skills and learning the fundamental techniques and principles of this ancient Japanese art form. I recommend that participants have a pack of good quality origami paper* that can be purchased online or from craft and stationery stores. This term, we'll fold our vibrant papers into charming fish and other seaside themed creations. Then, they can arrange them against a backdrop to create a piece of seaside art, home made greeting cards or hang them from threads for a mobile that blows in the summer breeze. Each session will introduce new folds and concepts that gradually build their skills and confidence. Live sessions will facilitate real-time interaction, allowing participants to seek guidance, share their creations and engage in a supportive community of young origami enthusiasts. Those catching up in the recordings have the opportunity to pause and rewind to repeat instructions and make their models in their own time. Your children may like to do both!

Overall, the goal is to provide a fun and engaging learning experience while promoting cognitive, motor and creative development through origami.
