Content

  • During this badge we will be exploring bees in lots of different ways and doing lots of fun activities. Bees are amazing and a very important creature in our world.

  • Session 1 - Introduction to bees and a day in the life of a beekeeper! We will hear from a real life beekeeper. We will also learn about why bees are so important with lots of fun facts. We will go on a bee and minibeast hunt. Session 2 - Craft - We will be designing and making a bee and minibeast hotel. Session 3 - Food - We will be making honey and ginger biscuits. Session 4 - Games - Lots of bees related fun games! Session 5 - Other - We will be making bee nature art frames.

Sarah is covering for Hannah S's Pawprint class whilst Hannah is having a baby. Hello, I'm Sarah H and when I'm in school I'm Mrs Halliwell. I've been a full time primary school teacher for 16 years and then had a baby boy recently. I'm going back to being a teacher in class a couple of days a week and am so excited to teach in the Hub as well. I teach all the primary subjects in school but particularly love PSHE/HRE, English and Topic. I love bringing mindfulness and relaxation into my classroom as I think a happy mind and a happy body are really important in order to be effective learners. I also love using lots of interactive strategies to get you engaged with your learning. I specialise in Key Stage 1 but have taught across Key Stage 2 too. I love nature, camping and spending time with friends and family. I can't wait to share my love of teaching and learning with you guys!
