Content

  • Block 6 - Willy Wonka/Ode to Joy. In our final block, we will continue learning how to play with our hands together at the same time. To help us practice this, we will be learning ‘Pure Imagination’ from Willy Wonka. (Please note that this is £3.77 with a 10% discount code and can be bought from sheetmusicdirect.com). The link to buy this is on the dashboard. We will also be learning ‘Ode to Joy’ by Beethoven which is free and available on the dashboard for you to print. We will continue learning how to read music for independence by sight-reading ‘In the Hall Of the Mountain King’ by Grieg. As always, each lesson will begin with a fun warm up and then finish with some time at the end for students to play for everyone if they wish.

  • This is a continuation from block 1-5, however, if you would like to join us for the first time and have a little experience already then this will be a great block to join. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Learning Objectives: • To be able to read lead sheet • To be able to play with my hands together at the same time • To be able to recognise and play an accidental • To be able to sight read music independently.

  • If you are new to the piano/keyboard and like using recordings, you will need to start from Block 1 Sept 2023; if you are new and like live lessons, you could wait until September 2024 when I will be starting from the beginning again. If you haven't joined us before and can play a simple tune (preferably with hands together) and can play a few chords, then this would be a great block to join. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IMPORTANT: For live sessions, please register and then use the link in your zoom email. . . . . . . . Tutor

Natalie .

Piano Tutor

Hi, I’m Natalie and I am the piano/keyboard teacher for the hub. I am a mum of two and a qualified primary school teacher. I have been playing the piano since I was 6 years old and have been teaching piano for around 24 years- both online and in person. I am also a classically trained singer and was a member of the Cantamus Girls’ Choir for ten years. Pre-Covid, I enjoyed singing to residents in care homes and running my own dementia choir. Music is such a huge part of my life and I am thoroughly enjoying teaching in the hub, where I can share my love of music and enjoy watching children flourish.

“£2 tuition hub was the best resource I found my entire time home educating. I’m still currently using the £2 Hub 3 years later”

“Fantastic group has helped us through 3+ years of home ed, wish we knew of you before that when we first started ”

Sharon, Parent

“This group is without doubt an absolute blessing. Fantastic classes with amazing teachers at an extremely reasonable price. I for one am so thankful to you and your team for everything you all do. We appreciate the hub so much and are very grateful xx ”

Claire, Parent

“We have been taking part in the BSL lessons and the other day had great fun finger spelling while shopping. Two of my children have dyslexia with T being more severe, he hates and refuses spellings. Along comes BSL and he’s loving spellings!” ”

Holly, Parent

“Our family are full time travellers and the hub is a life line for us. The children get to see and speak to adults who show a real interest in their learning and their lives. They get to pick lessons that they are interested in and have fun learning something new. The social hub was a real life line for us too. My 3 have made friends and love getting to chat to children and adults daily too. ”

Donna, Parent

“I can’t thank you enough for starting this group Amy. You gave me back my happy (not so little anymore) boy. Thanks to this group he’s realised he’s not the stupid, naughty kid that school made him believe he was. His sister is on school holidays and he’s doing recorded lessons by choice. Xxxx ”
