  • This 5-lesson course covers the critical early stages of World War II, beginning with the underlying causes and tracing key events from the rise of Nazi Germany to the Battle of Britain.

  • Students will explore how economic and political tensions led to the invasion of Poland, triggering the conflict, and how swift German advances led to the fall of France. The course concludes with Britain’s defiant stand against the Luftwaffe, marking a turning point in the war.

  • By the end of this course, students will be able to identify and explain the major causes and early events of World War II

Hello! My name is Gordon and I teach Key Stage 3 History (year 7-9) here in the hub. I have been a qualified teacher for 12 years teaching History, RE and bit of Geography. I also spent a number of years working on the pastoral side of things, so you can have piece of mind that I am also a qualified safeguarding officer.
